The 'Bergs have new 'Burbs!

Well, we don't exactly have a new home yet (besides the new home on the net.) As soon as our house sells in Nashville (Please, God, Please, God, Please) we will be moving to the wonderful suburb of Farragut near Knoxville, TN. Darren is excited to start a new job at a Distributor called Beverage Control, Inc. (And I'm so happy he's back in the distributor world. He is so passionate about managing people and never got a chance to do that working for the winery.)

Darren is thrilled to be back in his home town with a lot of friends and connections. I, however, was a little hesitant because I remembered Knoxville as a kind of dirty, crappy college town. (Being so in love with Nashville, I was also super-sad to leave our great community there.) I'm finding out every day how great the 'Burbs are here. We hope to "stick" here for a really long time.

So you don't have to worry, wine friends...you will still have your connection. New and exciting wines will still find their way to my table and I'll still be able to post about my suggestions and tips, so no need to get anxious.

I'm looking forward to staying home with Miller. Two days in Knoxville and we've already found a fabulous group of girls (and babies) to hang out with. I was a little worried at first about finding things to do during the day so the weeks don't get monotonous. But it seems like every day so far we've had an outing or something to do. Sincere thanks to Ashley B. for taking me under her wing!

I'm also excited to be able to maintain this blog a little better than when I was working, what I called, 2 full-time jobs. I've never been sure if people even read this besides my family (obviously preaching to the choir). So hopefully between the pictures, insight, and occasional food & wine tidbits I can gain some readers.

In other words....I'm BAAAAAaaaaaCCCCCCkkkkkk!

I know I've done it several times already, but I promise this time is for real. Stay tuned for updates on what's going on in our 'Burbs, because it's sure to be a roller-coaster of a year!

(Here's a little picture of Miller that Mimi & Poppy had made while we were on vacation. They're so sneaky!)
